I'm about to set the hardpoints in the strake for the fuel
pickups.
I went with the finger strainers.
Should I mount them so that the bottom of the strainer is
flush with
the bottom of the strake interior?
Or should I try to recess the inner strake skin 1/4 inch
or so?
My guess / math is that each 1/4 inch is about 1 gal of
fuel.
I don't want to ever need that last 2 gal of fuel,
but why carry around 12 pounds of fuel that I can't get
to?

What amount of "unusable" fuel is normal for our stakes?

Sure wish I had been at Osh for the cookout.
Maybe next year, if Andy will do his famous ribs....
