REFLECTOR: pitch Trim

That doesn't sound right.  Sounds like something has to be repositioned
so you have more travel up.  I'm not a builder so can't help there.
Whether you need ballast depends on whether you can stall the canard
(when solo).  If you haven't done a power off stall when solo, you need
to, but be VERY cautious, because if the canard won't stall, you'll get
into a deep stall.  I'd like to stop by sometime and see your plane.
I'm out of town again, but will be back next weekend.
