REFLECTOR: Will Knot Scales and will not.

Hi,

 

I bought seven of those  440# digital bathroom scales for about $40 each to
do my wgt and bal  I had to return them.  They require you to place the wgt.
Then scale takes a reading, and then you must remove the wgt before it
renders a decision on the wgt.  Not a great situation for weighing an
airplane.

 

Also they have 4 corner mounted sensors and you get different readings by
10% if the weight is not distributed very evenly across the two foot
placement areas.  A 40 # batt weighs differently from the being placed on
the left foot area, the right foot area and spread across both w/ a 2x4.

 

They are on a FedEx truck back to the shipper.but I agree.it looked very
workable and accurate within 1% according to proper usage.
