REFLECTOR: Gap around the doghouse

I know this has been discussed before but I couldn't find it in the
archives. 
 
About how much gap should I leave when trimming around the doghouse to allow
for paint/primer/filler/finish epoxy? Similarly for the fuselage sides below
the canard.
