Hey guys, I saw a Velocity ad in the recent Sport Aviation for the TXL
(Turbo XL) advertizing 253 KTAS Cruise @ 65% with a 1,300 nm range. That's
amazing performance and I was wondering if anybody is familiar with whose
plane produced these numbers. The only guy I know who has been flying a
turbo XL is Richard Vanderstein in central CA, and he cruises at around 210
ktas at 15k' at about 12 gph, as I recall. The N number was N296TC and had
red and grey paint trim. It was a really beautiful plane. Is it the factory
plane?

I'd really like to know what IAS (200-220) they're using and altitude they
cruised at, or if they modified the plane for high speeds (higher Vne)?
Also, what engine was this and what were the engine parameters (MAP, rpm,
fuel flow, etc.). It looks like a 4 blade MT in the picture.

I would like to show this to a few people, and would like to know the
details. Is it going to be a Oshkosh? Thanks.
