REFLECTOR: Ceramic Exhaust coating

The chief disadvantage of ceramic coating arises in the event that you find
a crack. You can't weld up the crack with the ceramic coating in or
immediately adjacent to the area to be welded. As Brian noted, the ceramic
coating is very hard and difficult to remove.

Are there any dis-advantages to getting exhaust ceramic coated? For
example, does it make if more difficult to inspect for cracks in the
exhaust.....or.....does it hide cracks?? Any other dis-advantages?
