Well - I'm using fiberfrax and Titanium. Lighter than the SS, and it has a
higher melting point - not that that is a big deal. We are using silicone
sheet to isolate any dissimilar metals.

I have a standard RG that only has intumescent fire resistant paint on
the fire wall. I want to replace it with a safer and more resilient material
yet keep the weight down as much as possible. Has anyone out there tried
other substances besides stainless steel and fiberfrax, and if so, how did
it perform? Would appreciate any wisdom in this area.

Thanks,
Dean Unterreiner
