Andy,

Almost sure it is wire.

Regards,
Jorge

Jorge,

Is this cable a push pull rod type with a 10 X 32 threaded rod end or just a wire ended
cable?

Andy

Andy,
The (button lock dash control) cable that Velocity sells in their website for the Franklin
Carb Heat is 12' long.

Jorge

Thanks Al, I wanted to mount the fuel cutoff push pull knob under and behind my prop,
mixture, and throttle controls and run the cables down the same pilots side wire run. From
my measurements, I need at least a 11' cable. I could relocate the shutoff valve closer
to the pilots side wire run and run a longer fuel lines if I had to, but I would rather
not. I will call Velocity on Wednesday and see if their cable is longer than 10'.

Andy;

I added an emergency shutoff valve near the exit from the sump tank. It's a
'ball' valve with a push-pull cable to the handle. The cable leads to the
pilots seat frame near the keel; where pulling the red round handle shuts
off the fuel. Not sure where I got the parts, but likely from AS. From the
point under the front of the seat to the valve is less than 10 ft.

Sorry - no photo.

Al

I am working on my fuel system and wanted to know how many builders added a
push pull cable to their fuel shut off valve to be able to shut off their
fuel in case of fire. I am considering adding a locking T handle with easy
access for the pilot. If anyone has already made this modification, I would
be interested in pictures and a parts list of materials used.
