Well Barnaby's opinion certainly would be valued!....tell him I'll buy him a
beer when next he is in Australia Richard! 

um...we are builders talking general principles here and appreciate any
learned comment. In terms of payment....it might be different if we were the
company developing a new or existing aircraft that needed specific design
mods....

If you guys are serious, I'll put it to Barnaby Wainfan.  He's done 
consulting for kitplane companies before.  He made a couple of 
offhand suggestions to Steve Wright about the Stagger-EZ cowl that 
fixed his cooling AND gave him 8 knots.  It probably wouldn't be 
free, but it wouldn't be ruinous.
