REFLECTOR: Remote compass location

I made mine adjustable thru the wing hole placing it aboutr 10 inches
forward of the hole.

With it mounted this far forward in the strake, did
you do a compass swing with the wings removed in order
to adjust the mag heading? I wanted it close to the 3
inch hole in the bottom of the strake so I could reach
it for small final adjustments without taking the
wings off. Has anyone else located their magnetometer
closer to the bottom 3 inch hole with no magnetic
interference from the outboard wing bolts?
