Here is the NOTAM sent out by AOPA on the shuttle launch, it is a couple of
days old so be sure to re-check it before you go:

-------------------------------------------------------------------
AOPA ePilot Special Airspace Bulletin August
6, 2007

-------------------------------------------------------------------

A special notice to pilots in the central Florida area

		==> ATTENTION PILOTS <==

FAA TO ESTABLISH TFR OVER CAPE CANAVERAL ON WEDNESDAY AOPA
is sending this message to advise pilots in and near Cape Canaveral,
Florida, that the FAA has issued a notam restricting flight in the area for
a space shuttle launch on Wednesday, August 8. If the launch is delayed,
pilots should check notams for a later launch and flight restrictions.

There will be a 40-nautical-mile-radius temporary flight
restriction (TFR)centered on the MLB VOR/DME's 004-degree radial at 30.6
miles, extending up to but not including Flight Level 180.
It will be in effect from 11:21 a.m. local until 7:22 p.m.
local on Wednesday. There will be an inner 30-nm-radius GA no-fly zone in
effect during that time frame. See AOPA Online (
http://www.aopa.org/whatsnew/notams.html#7/1242 ) for the full text of the
notam and a graphic.

A 4-nm-radius cutout will be in effect near Massey Ranch
Airpark
(X50) to allow operations within the 30-to 40-nm area of the
TFR as described in the notam.

The affected landing facilities are Cape Canaveral Afs Skid
Strip (XMR), Space Coast Regional (TIX), Arthur Dunn Air Park (X21),
Tradewinds Aerodrome (3FD6), Merritt Island (COI), Highlander (2FD6), Blue
Ridge Flightpark (34FD), Devils Garden Strip (FA18), Patrick Air Force Base
(COF), Big Oaks Ranch (6FD2), Southerland Strip (FD92), Massey Ranch Airpark
(X50), Rybolt Ranch (01FA), Cedar Knoll Flying Ranch (01FL), Melbourne
International (MLB), New Smyrna Beach Municipal (EVB), Orlando Sanford
International (SFB), Spruce Creek (7FL6), Executive (ORL), Orlando
International (MCO), Prairie Lake Pvt Res Sp Mooring Facility SPB (3FD9),
Valkaria (X59), Lake Conway North SPB (91FL), Lucerne Medical Center
Heliport (8FD7), and Yelvington Heliport (13FD).

Because TFR airspace frequently changes, AOPA strongly
encourages pilots to obtain a briefing and CHECK NOTAMS before every flight.
TFR violators will be intercepted and forced to land.

I need some input on flying to see a shuttle launch.
Where should I fly into and who treats experimental
best?
Fly near and rent a car and go where?
How bad are the TFRs?
How early should I arrive?

Its a night launch so I will have to spend the night
and fly home the next day. Any help would be
appreciated.

Thanks for the input.
