MessageHello Barry,
I don't believe that the FG installation requires anything special. Trial fit the Cleveland wheel and brake - and if there are no issues with fitting the wheel pants, you are good-to-go. Even with the metal gear leg "booties", I would still install the phenolic shield.

On the instruction for putting the clevland brakes on in place of mattco, be the same if you have the gear leg sockets on.

By the way ... There was a noticeable difference after I upgraded to Cleveland (so long as all the gear is on the ground!)

Seriously, the braking is fast, assured and never a heat issue.

The Cleveland upgrade includes new wheels, brakes and dust cap. You will hold on to the original Matco axles, tubes, tires, axle nut.
The Velocity<>Cleveland conversion comes with custom made spacers, washers, and longer bolts to secure the axles to the gear legs.

I'm thinking about going to cleveland brakes , I have Matco brakes Will the wheels from Matco fix the cleveland brakes? Will the Cleveland brakes bolt on to the same axle?

What would the part number be for the brakes for the XL? I want to buy them from Aircraft Spruce because they are closer than Velocity.
