MessageYes, the factory provides and recommends aileron cables with a higher temperature rating - along with the installation of firesleeve protection on aileron cables.

The problem Brendon experienced with one of the Velocity AC was that the exhaust broke and the resulting flame melted the covering on the aileron cables. The result was that the coverings then seized on the cables, effectively leaving him with no aileron movement.
His solution was to move the aileron controls to neutral and then to fly and land with rudders alone.
