Larry,
Some of the parts I received (noe specifically related to this model) were such that they didn't match any part the factory had ever heard of. Not necessarily a swap problem. The instrucions I had that were wrong were the measurement portions for my 173 fuel strake location were actually supposed to be from a standard wing. etc.
I don't know how it happens, but it is best to take some measurements and make a phone call. If you need any more numbers from my setup, let me know.
I did as you did.... bought the offset torque tubes after I received my kit.

My kit came with the "standard" or non-offset TT's. That "mod" happened
about 1-2 years afterwards and they sent me the parts. I didn't think the XL
even existed then!
