Keith,

here's a quote from Aeroquip about 701 hose

"Aeroquip Medium Pressure Engine/Fuel/Oil Hose No. 701 is constructed of
a seamless specially formulated AQP elastomer compound inner tube. Over
the inner tube is a partial inner braid of stainless steel wire and a
full coverage outer braid of the same material."

I'm not sure how much rubber is in this hose, but it does have two layers of stainless steel braid, the outer layer a full coverage. The inner liner is not rubber per se.. but some elastomer formulation containing AQP(?).

1,000 PSI and 300 degrees F is the operating limitations, with a very small min radius bend. I realize some hoses with a teflon liner have a higher temp range..

Van's and Lancair recommend the 701 hose for fuel and oil.. I don't know what Velocity recommends..
