Will do, Steve. Thanks. I haven't cranked it yet...but soon. The
install instructions said count 12 teeth back (or some such) on this
little band that I had to glue/screw-clamp around the ring gear and that
is supposed to get you close to the BDC call out...which I remember as
20 degrees.
Terry

Hi Ronnie and Terry...

Your both correct... As to how the trigger units mount.... But, you
still
need to check it with a timing light, after its installed, to set the
proper
timing... That little pop-rivet tool is just a starting point...

Best... Steve

There are two versions of the J.Rose system. One goes into the mag
hole, the other is hal effect and reads a signal off the flywheel. It
depends on your engine. Terry

Steve, my Jeff Rose which has the pick up mounted in the left mag hole,
is set at zero degrees. There is a small hole in the face of the pick
up housing. A 3/32 pin (like the pull pin in a small pop rivet) is
inserted until the holes line up - when the crank is at TDC for
cylinder #1.

I believe the Jeff Rose flywheel mounted pick ups are set at zero
degrees too.

  Ronnie
