REFLECTOR: barn door speed brake

Sorry Len.  I am not flying.  I did go up w/ Ken Mishner's (sp?) SE and
it does cushion the nose drop for him.  From my own non-velo experience
if you can "dirty up" and carry power down final you have more
aeroplatform control than when you are at or nearly at idle power.  I
have been told the SB was for the fixed gear models since that is their
situation more than the retract.  
 
Ask me in two months or so!!

Hi Terry  ......   Whats your assessment of approaches/landings with and
without using the speed  brake ??   Would you add the speed brake to an
XLRG if you were to do it again???

Hi terry
Is your XL a RG?
If so, I have never seen a RG with speed brakes.
Extend the gear and that is a lot of drag.
