I did try to engage it on the ground. Maybe that's the problem. I was
just trying to see if it would "catch" or "bump" the stick.
BTW ... my overall experience with BMA is "mixed". I am very please
with the product and it's capabilities. I have the EFIS One. It is
very, very robust. The company seems a bit disorganized at times. They
also give mixed messages in their answers. The consumer is pretty much
left on their own a lot of the time.

Tom - Are you engaging your AP in flight or on the ground?
My AP controller had to go back for repair (it shipped bad), but I can
engage it properly on the ground now (after setting the altimeter to
alititude about 1200' AGL) and have it try to "Chase" a heading or
ascend/descend per my inputs.

I am also having trouble with my BM Auto Pilot. If I engage it,
it simply disengages immediately. No rhyme, no reason.

Anyone out there with Blue Mountain Avionics Autopilot
experience? I tried engaging for the first time today and the servos
came to life as soon as I applied power to the controller, which is in
direct conflict with the book. It says it shouldn't do anything until
you "engage" it. When I do try "engaging" it, the servos just jump
around, and the display flashes "DISENGAGE". I have a EFIS LIte with
2.23 software. This was all on the ground, although it does the same
thing in flight also. Any suggestions?
