104 attendees now officially on the books.

The weather looks encouraging, at least at Grayson for the event itself.
Here's today's weather synopsis for the weekend copied from AOPA's site.

South Central

Synopsis: High pressure will bring dry conditions on Friday through the
daytime hours on Saturday. Low pressure will develop over southwestern TX on
Saturday, with a dry line to extend southward. By late Saturday
night/Sunday, a cold front will push southward into far northern LA into
northeastern TX. By Sunday evening, this front will extend into southern LA
and south central TX.

Flying forecast: Dry and generally VFR conditions will exist across the
entire region for Friday through the daytime hours on Saturday. MVFR showers
and thunderstorms will develop over portions of eastern TX and LA on
Saturday night. On Sunday, this activity will gradually shift southward into
central/southern TX to southern LA. It will be generally dry elsewhere,
except for a few isolated showers over eastern MO on Saturday night and
Sunday.

SCHEDULE UPDATE

I just posted to www.velocitysymposium.com
<http://www.velocitysymposium.com/> the latest
<http://www.velocitysymposium.com/VBS%20Speakers%20Schedule.pdf> schedule.
Mack asked to be on Sunday. We will hand out the official, printed schedule
Friday as you arrive. We plan to audiotape all the sessions. So if there
are two sessions at the same time and you have to chose, there is hope.
Hopefully, we'll get these on the web after the event.

TAKING RIDES IN VELOS

One of the highlights of the symposium will be "viewings" of your machines
on the flight line Saturday afternoon. We will strive to have the viewings
in the earlier part of the afternoon slot (starting at 3:30ish). PLEASE
AVOID SCHEDULING RIDES DURING THAT TIME. You can partake in rides AFTER the
viewing (probably starting about 5:00ish, dinner is at 7:00), and Sunday
after the symposium closes. Besides, for those flying in, you don't want to
miss those complements, photo ops, or letting others enjoy your baby. In
this case, pride is not a sin.

See you in Grayson!
