REFLECTOR: Gear leg stress

Composites behave in different ways, and may in this case, but the
tension seen when the legs splay somewhat during the backing process
should be well within the acceptable deflection range for the legs and
would not be near the tensile strength of the legs where they start to
deform permanently.

Assuming proper lay up and cure, the legs should be able to remain
deflected without taking a new 'set'. Notice how our wing tips don't
touch the ground even after several years of setting on the ramp
unsupported. All analogies are not analogous, but the concern about
'relieving' the legs after back into the hanger may not be a gear leg
integrity issue. However, if it makes a person feel better, than by all
means do so-that's what flying is all about.
