Steve,

 I realize you didn't write it, I've read some of Earl's 
miss-information before. And I've written to the EAA to try and get them 
to curb his unsubstantiated writings. I've written to Earl and he agrees 
that some of his stuff is "not exactly true" but says it keeps people 
out of trouble. Hmm...  Maybe so. 

Personally, I prefer the start and unblemished truth.  I'll take 
responsibility for my actions, I don't need to be lied to for my 
protection.  I guess thats why I lean Libertarian and not Demopublican.

However, I think by your comments at the beginning and end you voiced 
agreement with the content.   I would recommend you familiarize 
yourself  with your airplane's OL and the applicable FARs for the real dope.
