Man, you are going to have to get skilled at
1) reading between the lines
2) resigning yourself to the fact that you'll build most everything twice
3) cutting a few really nasty large holes to get something done "because
it's fiberglass, no one will know"
4) knowing that the cut lines are "just suggestions"
5) knowing your airplane is really a banana
Even though there are 1,001 ways to build a Velocity, in the end, if the
canard is square to the wing, and the wheels are true, then it's going
to fly better than any spam-can.
Go ahead and run your nylaflow the way the manual says. It's cheap, go
ahead and do it. The actuality of it is that unless you are one of
those ultrafast factory build guys that does it in 30 days, you'll
replace your nylaflow, or someone here finds something that's even
better, like aluminum tubing that you mentioned, or you'll accidentally
nick it while installing something else. Or, you'll always look at it
and think to yourself that there's a better way and you'll rip it out
even though there's nothing wrong with it.
