REFLECTOR: Using 28 volt Alternator on 14 volt system

It is in the windings- you can surely regulate it to produce 14v, but it is
wound to output 28, so in effect you would be only utilizing half of the
output- if you had a DC/DC transformer (noisy) you could probably get about
75-80% of the output, but I am not sure if you could find one to handle that
kind of amperage........ might possibly have an alternator shop re-wind it,
but I am pretty sure that the armature is different.

Been that and done there.

Bob said I would only get 50% to 75% output from the alternator.   I 
asked how to convert it and got no response from two separate requests 
for info.
