Larry,

It sounds like you are referring to the gas spring
configuration outlined in the current manual for the
Elite doors.

This configuration was first shared in the Views by a
builder who came up with it to eliminate "the bulge"
but it is now in the manual. You'll know if you're
using this configuration if the springs try to keep
the doors closed for the first few inches of travel
before going "overcenter" and then pushing to keep
them open.

This configuration works great for fixing the bulge,
but the bottom of the doors can still have a tendency
to push forward or back (usually forward) which is
what Andy is trying to deal with.

Now that you mention it though, i do remember messing
with the fore/aft angle of the gas springs. I either
moved/reversed/shimmed one or both of the attach
brackets, changing the angle of the gas spring, to
help the door alignment.
