Joe,

The various models of the atmosphere are a bit more complex that a simple
formula. For more on the US Standard Atmosphere see
http://modelweb.gsfc.nasa.gov/atmos/us_standard.html, which includes links
for available implementations in several computer languages.

There are several calculators for atmospheric data on the web. See, for
example, http://aero.stanford.edu/StdAtm.html

Subject: REFLECTOR: Altitude Formula

Does anyone have a formula for conversion of absolute air pressure to
altitude with compensation for SL reference. Working on my data acquisition
system and an altitude formula would be useful.

Thanks,

Joe
