REFLECTOR: Running LOP

Personally I would not try to run LOP with one of those switched egt 
gauges.. Unless you can watch every cylinder go up and then down you 
won't know if they are all LOP.   I guess you could watch cyl #1, lean 
to say 50, 75, and 100  LOP and note the fuel flow for each setting. 
Then repeat for each cylinder graphing out where each cylinder peaks and 
find the last one to reach 50 LOP and then know that you have to run at 
that fuel flow or less. But, if something changed how would you know 
unless you did that all over again?

A LOP lean-to-find option is nice on an engine monitor but most just 
offer a ROP lean-to-find..   The good monitors at least show if a 
cylinder is LOP and by how much, thus letting you know all cylinders are 
LOP and you can use the last to peak to adjust your power setting.
