REFLECTOR: Compass

I would say that an electronic compass would not count- I have the Blue
Mountain Eifs One, but also a vertical card in the panel to satisfy FARs and
any fear of power loss or malfunction. A shot glass with magnetized needle
floating on cork would count though...  :-)

FAR 91.205 says "a magnetic direction indicator".  Doesn't say what kind.

A quick compass question.  If the AC is equipped with a glass panel that
provides magnetic compass heading, is a mechanical compass still required?
