Acrylic is WAY easier to form than polycarbonate.  As I understand 
it, you have to bake polycarbonate for a pretty long time at a lower 
temperature to drive off the moisture, then raise the temp toget it soft.

And acrylic doesn't scratch as easily as polycarbonate.
