I also have a set on the shelf. Anyone that would use them is welcome to
them.

After David has what he needs I also need a set of original arm pit scoops
for my up-draft IO-540 E1A5 engine. I am also installing the to NACA scoops
but as David is saying the penalty of routing the air all the way to the
bottom will probably be too great. If anyone else has another pair and
instructions for the installation it would be greatly appreciated.

I will be posting under a new topic a modification to my retract gear that
stops the nose gear from slamming into its wheel well, latter today. I am
going to take a picture of the location of an added hydraulic flow control
valve that is very simple to install and very inexpensive. I don't think
your results will vary.
