REFLECTOR: Take Off Performance

Hmmm,

Talk about mixing and matching info...

Tom was initially comparing his Cirrus to an six
cylinder Velocity. As Brett pointed out, their is no
clear winner here in performance or utility using
factory specs or real world figures: the cabins are
both huge by GA standards, the useful loads are pretty
much identical, in a speed contest Tom's Cirrus would
beat some XL's and lose to others, they both have the
HP to take off fully loaded from average length
strips...

Comparing a four cylinder Velocity to the Cirrus 22 is
apples and oranges. At least try comparing a 200hp
Velocity with the 200hp Cirrus 20. Most, if not all,
four cylinder/4 place planes make great two seaters.
Similarly, most 6 place planes make great 4 seaters...
