REFLECTOR: Nose Collapse

It is FIXED GEAR!!! How do you collapse that on taxi?  I feel badly for
Gus- met him at SNF- really great guy- hope he gets it back in order
soon.......

I believe the Firefly was developed from the XL/FG.  260hp Lycoming.
Don't
know about the weight of the aircraft or what fuel and/or supplies were
on
board.

I read in AvWeb that Gus McLeod's FireFly collapsed the nose gear.

Does it have the standard retract system as other Std Velocity's?

Isn't he also way over gross on these around the Pole flights?  Anybody 
know by how much.
