REFLECTOR: Deltahawk engine

Hi,

My kit is due for shipping sometime soon, so I too am far to far away from
these decisions, however I have ordered the large mouthed filler caps for
the Fuel tanks (Jet-A nozzles are a larger dia).

My other options are probably a superior 360 XP turbo (I am getting a SE
FG).

My reasoning at the moment are:

Home base altitude 5000MSL, 14K mountain peaks west of me, so the
performance of the DH or Superior 360 XP turbo would be of benefit as on the
ground I am half way towards the service ceiling of normally aspirated or
injection engines and in the summer DA raise's my field elevation to 9-10K.

Whatever the choice it's a long way off, but I have planned (fuel caps) to
keep all options open.

Steve.

Hoop,

Yes, those are the reasons for which I also decided upon a DH engine.
Additionally, I intend to eventually return to Europe (I'm currently in the
US, but I'm originaly from Romania), where the price of 100LL is prohibitive
($9 per galon!)

It is a pitty that we do not have more evaluation data regarding the DH
engines, especially data comming from a different company or customer. It
will probably happen soon. I saw a DH180 at the Velocity center, which will
go soon in a Velocity UAV; hopefully Velocity will provide us with some
insightful feedback once they do it.
