REFLECTOR: Runway length

Hi Al,

I never installed the cuffs. Seems like folks were having a hard time keeping the nose from crashing down after landing. I do have VG's. Mine lands nicely (and good directional control on short final) and I can fly the nose down nicely after the mains touch down). But ONLY if I keep the speed above the 65 knot canard stall on short final!!!

Ronnie

    One hint/word of caution. Don't get TOO SLOW. I have been working on shortening my landings - I had three in a row that came down too hard - the last one was about two pitch bucks on final - my nose wheel hit so hard that it pinched the tire and caused a blister.

    Ron;

    Do you have elevator cuffs? I left about half the cuff on mine. It will be interesting to see how it behaves.

    Al
