Sorry to jump in late in this discussion.
AIG has increased it's high limit of hull coverage to $150.  If Falcon is 
quoting lower, ask that they please check again.
Doug is 100% correct in regards to the pitfalls of under-insuring an 
aircraft.  It is my understanding that an insurance company may assign a 
"total loss" if the aircraft damage exceeds 50% of the insured value of the 
aircraft.

I just renewed my insurance on my XLRG-IO540 and it also came in around $5K 
but for $150K hull which I was told was max coverage from any insurance 
company.  I hesitate about dropping hull insurance down because if there was 
an accident the insurance company could end up owning the airplane, which is 
worth more then the $150K hull insurance.
