REFLECTOR: I don't know this aircraft

I had an aluminum bracket break that held my throttle cable at the end that attached
to the carburator.  Luckily I spotted it before it broke at the other end.  I replaced
it in kind as I didn't know what other material to use.  Would steel be better?
