Thanks Chuck- I will try something similar, but my right side NACA goes
to the turbo intercooler, which is only about 5" from the firewall- I
will look to see if I can cut it somewhere and fit the rubber like you
did though- but it will be tricky.......

Answer to Herb Sanders: Unfortunately, I can't make it to Oshkosh this
year,
but plan to come next year when (hopefully) everything is done (Paint,
Upholstery, Turbo, Air Stair Door, etc.).

Answer to Alex Balic: I used a section of a tire innertube to mate the
cowl
naca duct to the engine plenum. I stretched it over both ends which are
about 3/4" apart. I then bent some thin 1/2" wide aluminum strips(4 per
side) over the rubber on the ducts, then put 1/8" pop rivits thru
pre-drilled holes (with 1/8" aluminum pop rivit washers inside the duct
on
the other side of the rivit).

This allows me to secure the naca duct to the firewall with small thru
bolts
and still have a positive seal and no vibration concerns. It also makes
it
pretty easy to remove my plenum and get to the top of my engine. I used
silicone to seal my engine plenum, but used duct tape so it wouldn't
stick,
then secured it with SS screws (siliconed) and safety wire.

I'll take some pictures and post them later this week.
