I've seen aluminum props on pushers before.

Aren't they usually pretty heavy?

D. Rutan had a Hartzel on his LongEZ, I think its still for sale on 
www.ez.org   He said it vibrated the plane a lot. He thought the metal 
blades transferred the vibration from the blades running in the turbulent air?

Be interesting to see how this works out...
