Thanks, Tom! I'm plenty excited, too! Although it will be awhile before I
will be ready to start on it, at least I can "bond" with it for awhile.
Brett Ferrell has the same engine, too, except his is blue. Red engines goes
faster than blue ones, don't they? ;)

I have the same exat engine from the same place! They look like twins ...
even the same color.

YOU ARE GONNA LOVE IT!

I am running dual electronic ignition and it screams! Not a drop of oil
anywhere after 12 hours and run ups!

Thanks to Richard Riley's tip on Saturday, I am now the proud owner of a
Lycoming IO-540 engine, built by Performance Engines, rated at 315 HP.

Andy, I guess I can answer your question about whether I had decided on an
engine yet. When you asked, I had not decided. But the seller made me an
offer I just couldn't refuse, and I had to take it on the spot.

I've uploaded photos on my website at http://clik.to/velocity ->
Construction Menu -> Engine.

Being a subscriber/reader/contributor to the Reflector just paid off in a
huge way for me, and I really owe Richard Riley a great deal for tipping
me/us off. If I had not bought the engine, another guy was coming down from
Canada 2 days later to look at it (I hope it wasn't one of you guys!) , and
Performance Engines was also interested in buying it back, too. So I feel
very fortunate. Thanks!!
