REFLECTOR: cloth boot

Fresh blood or cloth boots? I certainly don't have any, nor have I ever seen any but if you know of anybody that has some basic sewing skills (which excludes me), they could sew a boot up with a Velcro fastener that would allow you to wrap it around the nose gear tube, then close it up. With the base fastened down with a light metal/plastic strip screwed into the keel, and you are good to go.

know where there is a supply of ready made ones?

>Welcome. We can always use fresh blood, especially with good ideas such as you proposed. Winter flying in non-Florida locals can be pretty painful if air infiltration isn't controlled. Instead of rubber, I imagine a person could use a air-proof cloth boot on the nose gear tube and accomplish the same thing as is done with the boot around the joystick. Good idea!
