REFLECTOR: Engines and High DA

Kurt,

I'm not convinced that the IVO/Lycoming 4 thumper is a problem. The
unfortunate accident with Mark Ewart was attributed to poor reassembly and
not following procedures. Are there any other documented failures with the
IVO on Lycomings?

Sort of like the admonishment not to use metal props on the back on canards.
Melville had one and said it shook real bad - so no metal props on canards -
yet they fly behind the Cessna Skymaster all the time. Any other documented
problems???

Ronnie
