REFLECTOR: V-8 at Oskosh

No he did  not design his own drive.His drive is a Retrofit / Remake  of the Aero Kinetic's unit. A  2" Hyvo chain unit.
They had to do a lot of changes to there unit to make it Fit/ Work.

  Bill made his own Redrive. Nice job too!!. It is a 1.68:1 if I recall right. Almost the same ratio as mine. his aircraft must be nice and quiet at cruise. that would be a prop RPM of 2065 at cruise.  Nice. 

  He also said that he only uses 4200 RPM for takeoff. Nice as well. 

  By the way, I believe he is using a stroked small block and not a big block. Saves weight and tons of money on parts and get the same numbers he has pretty easilly.
