If your heal won't break the bead loose, use the 2x4 trick.  After letting
the air out, lay the tire/rim flat and put the end of a 3' 2x4 snug against
the rim.  You can now stand/jump on the 2x4 with impunity and without
concern about damaging the rim.  If it is super stubborn, and you are a
light-weight (don't we all wish) you can drive your car's front wheel part
way up the 2x4. It'll pop right off without damage unless you confuse the
car's accelerator with its brake.
