Al,

I had MATCO do the X upgrade (1.5" pistons) and have been pleased with the
brakes.  I had the brakes modified before flying so I can't give you a
before and after.  I have a 173 Elite RG.

| I just sent mine off for the upgrade.  I discussed with George the use of
| the 323 compound; and while they are rated for higher energy absorption,
| that rating depends on more heat transfer through the axle to the gear
leg -
