REFLECTOR: Odd fuel pressure Problem

What's the raise the height of the sensor for?
Maybe to create a small in line accumulator by capturing air and gasses in
the line to dampen the varying pressure from the pump.
Interesting idea as my sensor is connected to a 12 inch flex line that is
run horizontally, I could bend it up?
