Just a reminder – it is still available; never been used System 30 autopilot
with altitude hold, complete .  I notice that the current price at AS&S is
$7845.  I’ll take $4800.

I bought the System 30 (pitch and roll control), spec’d for the Velocity,
and installation kit, about 3 ½ years ago, and never installed it (well, I
did install the servo brackets but they can be removed).  My panel plans
have changed completely since then; and I am now going with a dual screen
GRT Horizon I EFIS, and no DG with heading bug.  Their system is set up to
interface with all-digital TruTrak auto pilot.  While the S-Tec could still
be coupled up, it is a bit more complex, and the operation is not as
seamless. The S-Tec replaces the turn coordinator in your panel.

 

I’ve decided it may make more sense to give someone else a good deal on the
S-Tec, and go with the TruTrak.  I’m thinking a couple thousand off the
current price at Aircraft Spruce (whose price is already about $800-1000
lower than most other avionics vendors.
