REFLECTOR:Missing Cylinder

John,

Plugs are strange creatures. Sometimes they will last 500, 800 or more
hours. Or, a brand new one can fail as soon as you install it. I had one of
the fine wire plugs that came with the EI fail on start up. And one can
fail after you remove it, clean it and reinstall it.

If you know someone who has a Champion Spark Plug conditioning machine (many
A&P's have one), you can check your plug(s) and see if it is firing properly
under pressure. Else, just install a new plug.

Ronnie

Subject: REFLECTOR:Missing Cylinder

| Just finished my annual. Unfortunately my Franklin ran better before. My
#4 cylinder
| is missing. I have one Rose EI and one mag. I checked and adjusted the
gaps (0.18
| and 0.28). It ran fine for about 30 seconds and then started missing
again. Any
| suggestions? How often should the plugs be replaced? Mine are Champion
REB32E and
| have 100 hours on them.
|
| Thanks,
|
| John
