I made my tow bar out of a piece 3/4" thick plywood.  The dimensions are =
8" long and 6" wide with a 2" square hole cut three inches from the =
rear.  Then a 1.25" wide slot is opened in the back so that it slips =
over the nose strut and down onto the square part of the nose fork.

I used a piece of 3/4" EMT conduit to form the handle.  A 12" bungee =
cord with big hooks are used to hold the plywood down onto the fork (it =
will slip up and put you on your butt - ask me how I know).  A more =
elaborate way to hold the plywood down onto the fork could be devised, =
but I haven't got around to fixing that problem yet. The bungee works if =
it is wrapped about three times around the nose strut.

The picture isn't very good but between the description above and the =
picture, perhaps you can figure it out.

I have been considering building a cordless drill powered tow bar, but =
haven't gotten around to doing that yet either.  But hey, we build =
airplanes, we ought to be able to figure out a neat little motorized tow =
bar.
