Al,

I have one mounted in the top center of my panel, just to left of the =
radio stack. =20

It works fine except I have a +15 degree error at North and -15 degree =
error at South.  I could probably add a small magnet and correct the =
problem, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. =20

I love vertical card compasses since they turn the same way as the DG =
and they have far less "dip" error when turning.  Partial panel IFR is =
much easier to do with a vertical card than with a whisky compass.
