REFLECTOR: Filler for wingtips

Bob and Bruce,

In tha case of the winglet tips, I'm inclined to agree. But in the case of
the lower winglets, which might get scraped in a botched landing, I think it
may be good to provide a little more support for the shells. Also, in the
case of both the canard tips and the lower winglets, there is the potential
for wash water or rain water to be trapped in them. This can be mitigated
with well-placed drain holes, but Im not sure I like that option.

Keith

Keith,
I talked with Brendan about this very thing last summer and he said
there was no need to fill them. I did not fill my canard tips, and, lower
winglets are not filled. You may want to double check with the factory,
but, I don't believe it's needed.
Bruce
