Chuck,
I use an Air induction system which is described at the gallery

This is under Root/engines/air induction
This system provides good filter air and Ram air thru a scoop under the belly
The changing from ram air (not filtered) to filtered air is 
controlled thru a simple push pull cable.
Normally alternate air is needed when the primary source of induction 
air is thru a filter and you need alternate air in case the filter 
gets blocked. In this system the primary air is unfiltered and can be 
switched to filtered air for ground operations or ice conditions.
